The DPW yard will be open November 24th from 9am - Noon, for our monthly recycling program.
1. Mercury and Fluorescent Bulb Program: Thermometers, thermostats, switches, nickel cadmium and button cell batteries and fluorescent bulbs are accepted.
2. Scrap Metal Recycling: Metal items that are at least 80% metal can be dropped off. Some acceptable items include: bicycles, water heaters, tools, file cabinets, metal furniture, washers, dryers, metal chairs, and gas grills(without propane tanks). We cannot accept any item containing freon such as air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators or de-humidifiers.
3. Automotive Recycling: we accept motor oil, oil filters, tires and car batteries. Please keep water, dirt, leaves, engine/brake cleaners and other contaminates away from the oil brought here, the oil we take in is used to heat the DPW building.
