[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste Day September 29

Household Hazardous Waste Day for Gloucester residents, will be held Saturday September 29 from 9am to noon, rain or shine. Pre- registration is required. To register please contact the Department of Public Works at 978-281-9785 after Labor Day. Upon registering you will be sent a letter to use as your ticket into the event.

There is no charge for Gloucester Residents to dispose of up to 25 pounds or gallons. Anything over that amount will require a payment to Clean Harbor (up to 10 gallons over the first 25 gallons- $24, 10 - 25 gallons over the first 25 gallons - $44). Acceptable materials include, oil based paints, varnishes, pesticides, gasoline and other household hazardous chemicals. Clean Harbors will NOT be accepting commercial/industrial waste, latex paint, ammunition, asbestos, radioactive material, fire extinguishers, or medical and/or biological waste.
