[ARCHIVED] Boy Scout Troop 20 Christmas Tree Pick Up Service

Members of Boy Scout Troop 20 are offering their annual Christmas tree service to Rockport and Gloucester residents this Friday, Dec. 31, as well Saturday, Jan. 8 and 15.

The Scouts will pick up trees on one of the designated days between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Trees must be free of ornaments, lights, and tree stands and be put outside prior to the Scouts' arrival.

The trees will be chopped up at the transfer stations and the resulting wood chips will be go into the mulch piles for use in local gardens

The Scouts are requesting a $4 donation for each tree pickup. The money raised will go to support local Boy Scout Troop 20's trips, outings and equipment purchases.

If you would like the Scouts to pick up your tree, please call 978-546-9501 with your name, address, telephone number and which day is best to pick up your tree. Or, e-mail the same information to treepickup@verizon.net.
