Permit Application for the Installation or Alteration of Fuel Oil Burning Equipment and the Storage of Fuel Oil.

Application for Certificate of Fuel Line Compliance. Note: This form is not required if the work is covered by a 527 CMR 1.00 permit.
Blasting Permit
Permit application for all controlled/construction blasting.
Burn Permit
Permit application for burning available during burn season (January 15th through May 1st) only.
Energy Storage System
Required prior to the installation of an Energy Storage System (ESS) at any residential property.
Filming Fire Code Compliance Permit
Step 2 of 2 --- This permit is required for all filming in the City of Gloucester and should be completed AFTER first submitting the standard interdepartmental Filming Permit application which can be found by visiting Filming Permit.

Hot Work
Hot work is any activity or process that involves open flames or that generates sparks or heat and includes: Welding and allied processes; heat treating; grinding; thawing pipes; powder-driven fasteners; hot riveting; torch-applied roofing; and any similar applications producing or using sparks, flame or heat.
Propane Tank Installation/Removal
Permit Application for the Installation and/or Removal of Propane Tanks (both above ground and underground).
Propane Tank: Mobile or Temporary Usage
Permit Application for the use of propane tanks that will NOT be 1) permanently installed or 2) removed from a permanent location.
Real Estate Transfer
Application for Certificate of Compliance for Smoke Detectors & Carbon Monoxide Alarms (M.G.L. Chapter 148, Sections 26F, 26F1/2.
Storage of Flammable Material
Permit application for annual or temporary storage of flammable and combustible materials.
Storage of Non-Flammable Material
Permit application for annual tank storage of non-flammable materials, such as liquid nitrogen.
Vent-Free Heater
Permit Application for the use of 1 or more unvented propane or natural gas heaters, either temporarily or in a permanent location.
Fees for permits and associated inspections are collected at the time a permit is issued or approved via Gloucester’s Online Permitting Center on View Point Cloud.
