Low Lying Road Study

In September of 2022, the City of Gloucester was awarded  $58,506 through the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Action Grant Program. Funding will go towards the creation of a Low Lying Road Study in partnership with Woods Hole Group and Environmental Partners (EP). The project will conduct an in-depth analysis of the vulnerability of Gloucester’s roads to sea level rise and prioritize roadways based on network importance. The project will also provide a needed update of Gloucester's future flood risk data and offer conceptual solutions to managing roads that flood frequently or are at higher risk of flooding.
