The Gloucester Historical Commission (GHC) was established under M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 8D; its mission is to preserve and protect Gloucester’s historical assets and develop public awareness and appreciation of Gloucester’s historic resources. GHC is comprised of between three and seven members (all volunteers) who are appointed by the Mayor, each for a 3-year term.
Gloucester Historical Commission (GHC) meetings are open to the public and are typically held on the last Monday of each month. Final meeting details will be posted under Public Notices on the City's website.
Currently all meetings are being conducted virtually. Go to Virtual Meetings to find out more.
